Indiana Beach is an amusement park located in Monticello, Indiana, USA on Lake Shafer, a manmade lake on the Tippecanoe River. The park, originally named Ideal Beach, opened in 1926 with only a sand beach swimming area, bath house, and refreshment stand.

New Owners
The family that has owned the Indiana Beach amusement park for more than 80 years has sold it to a company that operates campgrounds across much of the country.
Tom Spackman Jr., whose grandfather founded the park in 1926, says few immediate changes are planned by new owners Morgan RV Resorts of Queensbury, N.Y.
